Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Man. Ever accidentally put a watch on someone? You're just navigating around some random persons page and WHOOPS, you hit that +WATCH button? Then you're all like...ugh, what do I do now? You're by yourself and feel all awkward. I just figure I'll let a day go by and unwatch them but then they thank you for the watch and it gets weirder? Yeah, that's happened to me THREE times now. Every time a pic shows up in my inbox I kinda chuckle and say "oh yeah, YOU." But I get attached to people and can't unwatch anyone. Unless they really make me mad and then I still watch them but because I hate them...

Okay, my thought process is a little messed up.

Lookit that, it's 2:05. I'm getting picked up to move tomorrow at 2 PM sharp. So this means the 24 hour countdown has begun. This also means I'm sure I'll have a whole new slew of things to bitch about once I move. You know...me and change? Love it. If there was a sarcastic font, I would use it right there.

On the upside, I haven't electrocuted myself yet. Ok, just that once and the feeling still hasn't returned to my finger. I electrocuted just my finger, not all of me. That's still a win.

Oh yeah, Happy Earth Day Everyone. I don't really know...what earth day is cause everyday is a day on earth...Sooooo.

Holy shitballs people. Just right now I heard on the tv that there is going to be an Avatar sequel. OH EM GEE.

Never happened with watching, but I did once accidentally hit "favorite"on a pic that while not bad wasn't really something I'd bother favoriting.

It was an odd case of timing too, because I lost my internet connection right as I was trying to remove it from my favorites, and I had to wait until I could reconnect to see if the de-favoriting went through.
