RATM

Thu Nov 11, 2010, 8:01 AM
Hand is still busted, puffy like marshmallow and turning tie-dyed colors now. Can't write or draw still but getting better at typing. Today is a day off, wish I could have drawn something but sadly can't. Brushing my teeth is even difficult. It's amazing how for granted we take simple things like our hands.

I'm mad because it's getting cold out. I live in Canada and hate the cold. I also work beside the ocean soooooo I think this winter is going to be hell.

In a more positive light, it is very nice to be getting a paycheck again. Today I am going to make banana bread, do some laundry and go to bed early.

Wow! I offer my heart feelings for your poor hand. I remember when I busted a bone in my hand it swelled, but never turned purple you may be developing a circulatory problem with it due to the swelling and tissue damage please have a doctor take a look at it. I hope you make a speedy and painless recovery.

...The Corporate Machine? =D

...or was it a machine that busted your hand? :o

The corporate machine...like a truck absentmindedly left running and forgotten about.

Meh. And it was a drill that busted my hand. It got stuck and the drill starting spinning instead while my hand was still holding it. I nearly got flipped. And way...the bruising in quite incredible.

Ooh, I hear you there, I work for a large company myself, and the past year's been real hard on me, I might actually need counseling @_@ They brought in a counselor once, but it was for only a day, and I was off that day, and even then it was like "Our employers aren't happy...and if they aren't happy, then they don't work fast enough, let's put a band aid on this!"

A Drill?! Good god! Poor Jess! *hugs*

Jeeez. They had to bring in a counselor? I had no idea your work place was so bad...I thought it was big enough to have a union? I had heard that it was a decent place to work actually. Wow.

It's just a job. Work to live, don't live to work. Your job doesn't define who you are. I know it's hard to turn the switch off when you leave but it's necessary for your sanity. :(

well, to be fair, it was because a much loved supervisor suddenly died, but even then, they seemed more interested in patching things up just enough so that we work efficiently, that's it. I think it's probably worse out west than it is back east, to be honest.

You're probably right, I just wish the job market weren't doing so badly right now, if I didn't hear that you can lose your EI if you quit, I'd probably be a lot less hesitant right now.

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about that happening. God, that is so horrible. Yeah you can't get EI if you quit or get fired. You can find another job first and then quit...however most jobs are pretty horrible. :/ I don't think many people enjoy work no matter where they are.
