Oh damn you personal integrity and self worth...
I said I wasn't gonna swear anymore....*bites lip* But I really wanna drop an F bomb followed by an "OFF". You can call anything art. Don't gimme that ART @%!#. I will tear your head off.
I'm outta here anyway.

I would say, that you maintain your integrity because you let your art speak for it's self. You didn't not use a cynical calculus to garner attention; despite the obvious anonymity of the net, you would rather be closer to yourself than created an elaborate persona.
The concept that somehow because it's the internet and that almost all things becomes socially acceptable spits on a general social contract we all want to go by. When someone abuses that social contract, that person should be run out on a rail from polite internet society and not exalted or coddled.
In my mind, it's much easier to keep track of telling the truth and build upon a lie.
Yeah, I would still never post nude pictures of myself online, even if I were completely anonymous. I have seen some lovely, classy nudes however on this site and I've taken several years of life drawing without a problem whatsoever. The issue isn't with nudity, I guess it's just how it comes across... I wish I were better at describing what I mean but I'm not terrific with words. JE was being trashy, and there was so much more to than I even knew when I wrote this journal.

Alternately, we could start doing crappy sprite comics. Oh wait. I already do. And it isn't working.
*tightly hugs* Jessie. For what it's worth, I greatly admire and appreciate you and the art you bring to this site. Even if you don't think so, you brighten up a lot of peoples' days with your insight into things and your unique drawing style. It would be a shame to see you go, but I certainly wouldn't blame you for doing so, all things considered. Sometimes, you just can't win. *squeeze*
